I plan to attend the event
- What is the schedule ?
Short Courses: Sunday April 26 ; conference and exhibition Monday April 27 till Wednesday morning April 29. See “important dates” on Cracow 2020
- What is the price ?
See pricing info on Registration
- I plan to attend only one day
We propose a one-day ticket. Ask the organiser the reduction code to enter during the registration process. See pricing info on Registration
- I am “invited keynote speaker”
If you are delivering a speech during the “industry keynote” session on Monday morning and do not plan to attend the 3 days, your fee is waived (you must meanwhile register). Attendants will appreciate that you provide them with a summary of your presentation, that we would make available through the conference web site and EuroSimE LinkedIn group. In any other case, keynote presenters must pay the registration fee.
- Is there a companion programme ?
No, sorry.
- About Short Courses
Short Courses are instructed on Sunday. Attending courses is free only if you register to the conference, otherwise there is a fee. Though you may attend the courses you want, the registration form obliges you to make a selection; this is to anticipate attendance and manage rooms adequately. Note that you will be able to download the courses notes (of the courses you registered to) from the Attendants Area of the conference web site.
- How are delivered the proceedings ?
Proceedings are available to registered attendants from the Area for attendants for 6 months, as individual PDF files and/or full PDF book and/or zip archive. We stopped delivering books from 2010, we stopped delivering memory sticks from 2019.
I plan to submit a paper
- What is the schedule ?
See “important dates” on Cracow 2020
- How to submit my abstract ?
We suggest you use the template we prepared, download it from the Author Portal (Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, LaTeX). Two pages with pictures should be enough. Once your abstract is achieved, convert it to PDF and post it on the Author Portal.
- Will my paper be published ?
All papers accepted by the Technical Committee are submitted to IEEE for inclusion in Xplore Digital Library (be they presented during the event as oral or poster). Unless you do not show up and do not present your paper, unless it is a proven case of plagiarism, it will normally be accepted and published by IEEE.
- What is the path from submission to publication ?
1) you submit your abstract on the EuroSimE author portal, generally by end of October latest; we acknowledge good reception of it.
2) You are notified on the acceptance or rejection on mid-December.
3) you deliver your “final” manuscript (the document which will be published) approximately one month latest before the event.
4) At same time you register; we do need you to register to make sure you will be present, to guarantee the consistency of the technical programme.
See deadlines in the Call For Papers or in Cracow 2020 - What about the posters ?
In case your paper is accepted for poster presentation at EuroSimE, you have 2 documents to prepare: the poster itself and the final manuscript intended to be published by IEEE. In case your brilliant work is to be presented as poster rather than oral, don’t be deceived: the EuroSimE poster session is always well attended and you may benefit of a wider exposure than oral presentations! In addition, there is no difference between oral and poster papers for the Xplore publication. We propose a template for the poster itself, but the format is free. Note that you have to print and borrow your poster yourself.
- How will my abstract be evaluated ?
It will be reviewed by an average of 4 to 8 qualified reviewers, members of the EuroSimE Technical Committee. The exact number of reviews for your abstract cannot be predicted. The acceptance notification email will contain the comments (if any) from your reviewers.
- What is the probability for my abstract to be accepted ?
Historically, we see that the majority of rejected abstracts are out of the scope of EuroSimE: if the topic you address is not related to the mainstream area of concern of EuroSimE, we will reject it, whatever its absolute value, quality and interest.
- About best papers
Be aware that the preselection of candidates for best paper and best poster is made upon quality of abstracts. Comments and rankings from reviewers are taken into consideration in this first phase. The final selection is made during the event by the members of the Awards Committee who attend your presentation or discuss with you about your poster.
- About selection for reprint in journals
When reviewing abstracts, reviewers tag the papers they judge worth being published in a microelectronics journal.
I plan to exhibit hardware / software / project
- Is there an “exhibitor guide” ?
Yes, you find most information in the Exhibitor Guide found in Exhibitors & Sponsors
- What is the price ?
It may vary a bit depending on the location, but is generally equal to 2000€. This fee includes the full participation of two delegates.
- How will it be organised ?
It is a table top exhibition: we provide you with at least 2 large tables, enough chairs, power supply. We make sure that the exhbition area and the coffee break area are the same to maximise presence of event attendants around you. If required, we provide you with specific hardware at cost.
- May I co-exhibit with another company ?
Yes you may, providing you are not 20 bodies occupying all floor space! In case more than 2 delegates will be present, we will bill additional delegates.
- What is the Exhibitor Session ?
The Exhibitors and Sponsors Session gives you the opportunity to make a 10-15mn technical and marketing presentation. This session is conveniently scheduled just before the cocktail party or the dinner in the venue, on the second day.
I plan to sponsor the event
- What is the benefit for me ?
